Service Description

Naname style taiko has the drum on a slanted stand. Started by Sukeroku Taiko in Tokyo, it was brought over to North America by San Francisco Taiko Dojo founder, Seiichi Tanaka. It has become the most popular form of taiko drumming form in North America, due its movement possibilities. Classes will include warm-up, learning stance, form, hits, drills and a song. Previous Taiko or movement experience is recommended, but not mandatory. Space is limited to 9 participants. Workshops and classes are open to all (non-Asian, non-women), unless otherwise stated. Bachi will be available for purchase for $25.
