Service Description

"Odaiko" translates to large drum. The largest taiko drum, the odaiko, is placed horizontally on a tall vertical stand. This course will cover the basic mechanics such as grip, stance, and stroke. Participants will learn a drill and part of a song. Previous Taiko or movement experience is recommended, but not mandatory. Space is limited to 10 participants. Workshops open to all (all genders, non-Asian) unless otherwise stated. Bachi are included in the course fee.
